Similarity screening
Every submission is checked with a professional text-similarity detection service at the screening stage, and again before publication if it has been substantially revised. Similarity reports are always interpreted by an editor: a percentage alone never decides the outcome.
Similarity levels and actions
Levels are aligned with the UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2018. Percentages exclude the reference list, properly quoted material and common phrases.

| Level 0 – up to 10% | Minor similarity. The manuscript proceeds; the editor still checks for uncited copying from a single source. |
| Level 1 – above 10% to 40% | Returned to the authors to rewrite and cite properly before review. |
| Level 2 – above 40% to 60% | Rejected. A thoroughly rewritten version may be submitted as a new manuscript. |
| Level 3 – above 60% | Rejected. Repeated cases may be reported to the authors’ institution. |
What counts as plagiarism
- Copying text, data, figures or ideas without attribution
- Close paraphrase of another work without citation
- Text recycling (self-plagiarism) from the authors’ own published work without disclosure
- Duplicate or redundant publication of the same results
- Translating another work without attribution
- Undisclosed AI-generated text presented as the authors’ own
Plagiarism found after publication
The journal follows COPE guidance: the authors are contacted, and depending on severity the article is corrected or retracted with a public notice. Retracted articles remain visible with a clear retraction label.
