- Title page (File A) with all author details and declarations
- Anonymised manuscript (File B) in Word format
- Author data removed from the file properties of File B
Manuscript
- The paper fits the aims & scope
- A concise title, preferably no more than 20 words
- Abstract of up to 250 words (structured for research articles)
- 4–6 keywords separated by semicolons
- Within the word limit for the article type
- The reporting guideline for the study design has been followed (CONSORT, CLARIFY, STROBE, CARE or PRISMA)
- APA 7th edition citations and references, with DOIs where available
- Tables and figures numbered, titled and at least 300 dpi
Declarations
- Author contributions
- Funding
- Competing interests
- Ethics approval and informed consent (if applicable)
- Trial registration number (clinical trials)
- Written patient consent for publication (case reports)
- Data availability
- Generative AI disclosure
Originality and ethics
- The work is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- All sources are cited; permissions obtained for third-party material
- All authors have approved the submission and the author list
- Authors accept publication under CC BY 4.0
